The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
